Chapter 7: Does It Go Through¶

The self-audit. The anticipated failure modes are tested one by one, and the part's verdict on the fate of each strength is delivered under the standing rule: push the strong version as far as it can be defended, and mark the exact step where it stops.

• Failure mode one: epistemic and ontic dependence cannot be kept apart — the strong version demotes.
• Failure mode two: P accused of being one more metaphysical commitment; the reply that relations too are empty, and its cost.
