What became of the proof after Nagarjuna: two lines of reception. In India its keepers split over how the one warrant may be obtained, by consequence alone or by independent inference; in China the proof arrived without the logic tradition attached, was first digested in Chang'an, and matured in the Three Treatise school, where the battlefield was the twofold truth.

• Scope (provisional): India up to Kamalasila; China up to Jizang; Tibet at the interfaces only.
• Format returns to the parallel-chapter convention; the two-register split was Part 18's special form.
• Seven chapters: Buddhapalita and Bhaviveka; Candrakirti; Santaraksita and Kamalasila; the Zhaolun; Jizang; the two-truths debate reviewed with the theorem; verdict and handoff.
• The asymmetry of surviving translations is itself a topic: Chinese Madhyamaka grew from half the original file.
